Lucknow: Among all the batch of IAS officers, the 2014 batch boasts having the highest number of officers at 50 officers, of which 19 are from direct recruitment while 31 are from the state cadre. Of late, the 2014 batch officers are becoming restless over delay in their posting as district magistrates. At present there are just three direct recruit IAS officers Neha Jain, DM Kanpur Dehat, Manish Bansal DM Sambhal, Medha Rupam DM Hapur holding the position of DM while 16 more are in line to become one while in the case of officers of state cadre there are none.

If the sources are to be believed, the state government could name 2 to 3 state cardre IAS officers as DMs in the upcoming transfer shuffle. The state cadre 2014 IAS officers who are in the running to become DMs are IAS officers Isha Duhan, Avnish Kumar Rai, Akshay Tripathi, Ravi Ranjan, Abhishek Anand, Gaurang Rathi, Mridul Chowdhury, Archana Verma, Prem Ranjan Singh, Nikhil Tikaram Phunde, Kritika Sharma, Mahendra Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Prerna Sharma and Ravindra Singh. Some of these officers even though coming from PCS cadre have done commendable job and the state government might reward them by naming them as DMs. Some of them are Badri Nath Singh, Anjani Kumar Singh, Raj Kumar, Indar Mani Tripathi, Saumya Srivastav, Garrima Yadav, Gyanendra Singh, Jai Shankar Dube, Avinash Singh etc.
