Land records inspector in ACB net with Rs 50K

Barmer: The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday trapped land records inspector, Gajaram in Barmer district for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000, officials said. Officials said that accused had demanded a bribe of rupees five lakhs and was caught red handed with rupees fifty thousand. Bribe was demanded in order to update land record.

Confirming the report, Hemant Priyadarshi, the additional director-general at ACB, said the accused, identified as Gajaram, land record inspector of Mandali in Kalyanpur Tehsil, demanded 5 lakh to update land record. Following which complainant approached the ACB and after verification, an ACB team arrested the accused.
