Kishangarh airport passenger load falls

Jaipur: Flight operations at Kishangarh airport have come down. For the last four months, Kishangarh, which was connected to half-a-dozen big cities of the country, has lost its glory. Only five flights operate from here in a week. This means not even one flight operates daily. Four months ago, four to five flights operated daily. These flights were for cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Indore & Surat. The airport wore a deserted look after the SpiceJet airline stopped operations. At present, flights operate from here for two days a week to Indore & 3 days to Surat. At present, the runway of the airport is 2,000 metres long. The Airport Authority of India has issued approval to increase it to 3000 metres. Despite this, the work of runway expansion has not begun. For this reason, big planes cannot land here.
