Karan Johar reveals Deepika-Sonam episode angered Rishi Kapoor

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Koffee With Karan is one of the most talked about reality shows with its array of controversial episodes. It lets the audience see the candid and fun side of their favourite celebrities and also provides them with some interesting gossip. Karan has come back with his most loved show once again and fans are more than excited to know the interesting insider details those celebrities will spill on the koffee couch this year.

During an interview before the show began airing, Karan was asked if he had to step in to make things right after an episode. He revealed, “Many times, it has happened that I had to step in to douse the fire after rapid-fire. I remember when Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone came to the show and spoke whatever they had to, Chintu ji (Rishi Kapoor) was very upset. I had to step in to make things alright. I have shows banned and taken off the air, which I felt terrible for.”

He further added that there were times when he had to sit on the edit table himself to cut out chunks from the show. The filmmaker said, “I have had times where I have actually edited comments made on the show by celebs before the telecast because I felt that it would land up in trouble. Many times actors have called me directly requesting to cut something that they have said as a slip of tongue. I have done this because for me relationships come before everything.”

The first episode of the latest season features the Gully Boy duo Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt who talked about their amazing camaraderie and living a married life. The second episode featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan airs on July 14.
