Kangana Ranaut applauds herself as super star host; deems SRK, PC, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar as failed hosts

Controversy's favourite child, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has again come into the limelight with her controversial statement regarding the relationship between Bollywood celebrities and the field of hosting. The actress uploaded a story on Monday stating that many celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh are failed hosts despite having successful careers and applauded herself alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan as the only successful hosts.

“Many successful actors have tried their hands on hosting like SRK, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh… they may have successful careers but they failed at hosting they are unsuccessful hosts, so far only Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji, Salman Khan ji and Kangana Ranaut have achieved this glory to be a super star host… privileged to be in this league.”, the Queen actress wrote.

She further took an indirect dig at producer and director Karan Johar for being envious of her success as a host. She wrote, “I wish I didn't have to state the obvious but jealous movie mafia is doing everything to discredit me and my show so I had to do the needful and I don't mind… if I can stand up for everyone else I can stand up for myself also… it is wonderful to be the only successful host of this generation #lockupp.”

Kangana Ranaut is currently hosting Ekta Kapoor’s reality show Lockupp, streaming on the digital platforms of AltBalaji and MX Player. As the show hit 200 million views recently, the actress took the victory upon herself, acclaiming her hosting skills on social media.

The actress is known to, directly and indirectly, take digs at celebrities in various interviews and many of her posts. Her recent statement comes as another such instance where the actress has criticized celebrities openly. With the show Lockupp streaming on the digital platforms on all seven days, Kangana’s episodes are featured on weekends.
