Kajol discusses how she teaches her children Yug and Nysa to handle trolling: “If five individuals comment negatively, then...”

Mumbai (Maharashtra): With her new movie "Salaam Venky," in which she portrays a loving mother to a terminally sick son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Kajol is ready to dazzle viewers. The actress has been discussing her own children, daughter Nysa and son Yug, in media interviews as she works to promote the film. She discussed the tips she provided her children for dealing with internet harassment in a recent interview.

The Dilwale actress said she instructs her daughter and son to place more emphasis on good than on bad things. They should focus on positivity because if five individuals write ‘negative things,’ then ‘2,500 others’ will speak favourably about them. Mid-Day quoted Kajol as saying, “You will always be protective about your children, but you have to [understand] that this is bound to happen. So, the four of us spoke about it. I explained to them that if two or five people are writing negative things about them, there are 2,500 others who have said lovely things about them. They should concentrate on that.”

Kajol previously discussed if she finds it upsetting that her daughter Nysa Devgn is often harassed on social media during an interview with ETimes. The actress added that trolling has evolved into a bizarre aspect of social media and that being trolled makes you popular and well-known. She has counselled Nysa to look at the positive side rather than the bad.

The children of actress Kajol and her actor spouse Ajay Devgn are Nysa and Yug. Nysa, the couple's daughter, was born in 2003, but their son was born in 2010.

Regarding Salaam Venky, it will be released on December 9 and is based on the true tale of Kolavennu Venkatesh and his mother.
