Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu’s films to be affected as producers halt film shoots due to increasing costs

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Telugu Film Producers will halt film shoots since August 1 due to changed revenue models and rising costs. Earlier this year, the Hyderabad-based Active Telugu Producers Guild issued a statement announcing that they will withhold all film shoots until they find a solution to their problems. As part of the guild's official letterhead, a statement was published on Tuesday.

According to the statement, they are concerned about costs and revenue changes.  “Post-Pandemic with the changing revenue situations and increasing costs, it is becoming important for producers to discuss all the issues we are facing as a community of filmmakers. “It is our responsibility to better our ecosystem and ensure that we are releasing our films in a healthy environment. In this regard, all producer members of the Guild have voluntarily decided to withhold shootings from August 1st 2022 to sit in discussions until we find workable resolutions,” the statement read.

Several production houses and movies have yet to comply with this decision, according to the report. However, big producers are expected to lend their support to this decision. Apparently, in the wake of this development, upcoming projects of superstars like Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Prabhas may face delays. The delay in the shooting will negatively impact the theatrical release of the forthcoming films.
