John Abraham’s next is a geopolitical thriller by Shivam Nair

Mumbai (Maharashtra): John Abraham is readying for the release of his next film ‘Ek Villain Returns’ alongside Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. Currently, the actor is shooting for Tehran, a Dinesh Vijan Productions which is being shot in Iran, a rare feat for feature films. Pinkvilla reported that John will move on to Shivam Nair’s next directorial after this film. Nair, famous for Naam Shabana and Special OPS, is coming up with a geopolitical thriller that will go on floors by the end of 2022.

Confirming the news himself, Shivam said, “I have been working on this geopolitical thriller for a while now with Fortune Pictures. A lot of hard work & research has gone into the creation of the story structure & this script. We now have John Abraham as our lead for this, whose title, we will reveal shortly. Pre-production for this joint venture with Wakaao Films has already started.”

The film is being produced by Wakaao Films and Fortune Pictures and written by Ritesh Shah who is writing multiple scripts for Fortune.

Ek Villain Returns is the sequel to the renowned 2014 thriller ‘Ek Villain’ starring Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. The film is being helmed by Mohit Suri who directed the first part as well. T-Series and Balaji Motion Pictures have been roped in as the producers.
