It’s not question of Rahul or Sonia alone but of common people too: CM

New Delhi: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said that Rahul Gandhi has been questioned for 3 days and he is open, but the situation in the country is worrisome as investigative agencies are being misused to settle political scores. Rahul Gandhi is to join ED investigation on Monday for 4th time.

“This is not the question of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. This is the question that around 1700 actions of ED happened and only 9 people were punished. You can imagine how many people were troubled and felt sad.

What must have happened to their family. So, is this method good?” he asked while talking to media at Delhi airport. He said the institutions like ED and CBI arent’ independent these days and malicious action is being taken against LoPs.

“Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi are being harassed unnecessarily. Gandhi family sacrificed for nation. Indira Gandhi & Rajiv Gandhi gave their lives for country. Today, situation is very tense,” Gehlot said.

Senior officers of constitutional institutions are working under pressure. Delhi Police entered Congress HQs & beat up leaders. Such acts don’t send a good message. Delhi Police wants to crush peaceful protest, he said. “Centre’s various agencies are targeting Raj. It is fascist thinking. On June 13, I sought time to meet Director of CBI, ED, & Income Tax but they refused to meet. My family has nothing to do with politics but they are harassing them. Its wrong. Take action against us if you want but why harass family,” he said.
