Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare get engaged in front of family and friends

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ira Khan is a star kid that has never been a part of the mainstream Bollywood culture. Yet she has had a massive fan following for her theatre work. She has also been appreciated the time and again for her outspoken ways where she has opened up about her mental illness as well. Ira also never shied away from sharing about her love life and revealing some cosy bits from her relationship with gym trainer, Nupur Shikhare. The 25-year-old recently was proposed to by her long-time boyfriend most romantically. Now, the two have finally made things official as they got engaged to each other in front of family and friends on November 18.

Ira looked absolutely beautiful in a red strapless gown and could be seen smilingly widely as she linked arms with her fiancé. Nupur donned a classic black tuxedo and posed with everyone happily. The close-knitted affair was attended by Nupur and Ira’s close friends and family and some of Aamir’s industry friends as well. The guestlist included Akshara Haasan, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Verma, Ashutosh Gowariker, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Imran Khan.

Nupur Shikhare proposed to Ira in September in a very Bollywood way when he got down on one knee at one of his cycling events in Italy. Ira was seen standing aside with the onlookers when Nupur came to her. After sharing a kiss, he immediately went down on a knee and asked her to marry him on the mic. A shy Ira immediately replied with a yes! The video was shared by her on her Instagram account with the caption, “Popeye: She said yes 🥰❤️ Ira: Hehe☺️🤭😋 I said yes.”

The couple fell in love when Ira decided to take up fitness during the lockdown. She had just gotten out of a serious relationship with musician Mishaal Kripalani. Nupur who was Aamir Khan’s personal trainer then started training Ira as well. They both bonded during that time and eventually fell in love. They made their relationship official in 2021 and now it seems that their love has proven itself to be stronger and deeper. Congratulations to the adorable couple!
