ICDS addl director Vibha Chahal on Delhi sojourn

Lucknow: 2012 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, Vibha Chahal has been deputed to Centre as she was on Wednesday named Private Secretary to Bharti Praveen Pawar, MoS for Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.

Chahal was posted as Addl Director ICDS, which usually is held by a PCS officer but the desire of IAS officers to being posted in Lucknow has meant that IAS officers are ready to take up posting in junior levels.

Chahal previously also held the position of DM of Etah and has never appeared in the race to become a collector. She also held the post of Addl Resident Commissioner of New Delhi from 2019 to 2021 and various other positions in the state like Special Secretary APC Branch, OSD, Grader Noida, Jt Magistrate Saharanpur and Jt Magistrate Meerut. Now she being relieved from ICDS, there is a murmur in the corridors of bureaucracy of promoting IAS Sarika Mohan, Director ICDS and moving her to another department. This would enable the government to post new officers in ICDS.

In total, 4 officers Vibha Chahal, Dheeraj Sahu, Mukesh Meshram and Anita Meshram will be going on deputation soon after the UP tour of PM and President.
