IAS Sanjay Goyal not given extension of UP deputation

Lucknow: IAS Sanjay Goyal has not been given extension of stay on deputation in UP by the Central government, due to which he will have to go back soon to his native cadre Assam. Goyal, a 2004 batch IAS, is currently posted as Commissioner in Jhansi and had come to UP cadre in 2017. His first posting in UP was Special Secretary- Finance. Post that in 2018, he was appointed as MD of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam. In 2020, he was entrusted with the responsibility of relief commissioner and in the year 2021 he was made the commissioner of Prayagraj and in July 2022 he was posted as commissioner Jhansi. IAS Sanjay Goyal was sent by DoPT on 29 June 2017 on deputation to UP for 3 years.
