Hindu organisations protest demolition of Hanuman temple

Agra: There is a lot of anger in the Hindutva organisations over the demolition of a temple by the Municipal Corporation overnight at Sultanganj.

From Monday night till Tuesday evening, activists continued protest at the temple site. Some even tried to commit suicide by setting themselves on fire.

On Monday late evening, a municipal team demolished the Hanuman temple in Sultanganj’s culvert. The news spread like wild fire in the entire city.

As soon as this news reached the Hindutva organisations, in no time angry activists gathered on the culvert and raised slogans against the administration.

In the night, the police and administration pacified the activists but on Tuesday, when no concrete steps were taken to rebuild the temple, the angry Hindus once again gathered on the culvert of Sultanganj.
