High Court seeks response on AAG Mishra’s appointment

Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has issued notice to the state government and advocate Padmaesh Mishra and sought their response on tweaking norms of the litigation policy and appointing a lawyer with 5 years of experience as Additional Advocate General.

A single bench of Justice Anil Upman issued the notice while conducting a preliminary hearing on the petition of Sunil Samaddia. The petition said that under State Government’s Litigation Policy, 2018, an advocate with 10 years of experience can be appointed as Additional Advocate General.

The state government made a provision that any lawyer can be made an Additional Advocate General in view of expertise.
