Health Min Khimsar inaugurates Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0

Jaipur: Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0, run by Health Department, was inaugurated by Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar in a programme organized at the Agricultural Research Auditorium in Durgapura, where an oath was taken to quit tobacco and create awareness.

Principal Secretary to Govt Gayatri Rathore, Mission Director Bharti Dixit, Nodal Officer of National Tobacco Control Program SN Dholpuria, Director Health Services Ravi Prakash Mathur and others were present.

Dixit said that if the policies are implemented, the campaign will be successful. She said that good work was done in first Tobacco Free campaign in Jhalawar. Rathore said that tobacco causes more than 13 lakh deaths every year, which is alarming.

Khimsar also inaugurated the linear accelerator and CT simulator machines installed in radiation oncology at the State Cancer Institute.
