Have by-poll to Khatauli been called under pressure of Jayant Chaudhary?

New Delhi: Under the pressure of RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary, byelection has been announced for Khatauli assembly seat in western UP. In fact, on October 11, the verdict came against BJP MLA Vikram Saini from this seat in the Muzaffarnagar riots case and he was sentenced to two years jail. But neither his membership was terminated nor his seat was declared vacant. On the contrary, the verdict against SP leader Azam Khan came on 27 October and on 28 October the Speaker of the Assembly declared his Rampur seat vacant. At the same time, Jayant Chaudhary raised the question as to why Vikram Saini’s seat is not being declared vacant. Speaker did not declare Vikram Saini’s Khatauli seat vacant, despite his repeated questions. Then on November 5, the EC announced by-elections to Rampur assembly seat of UP and the Mainpuri LS seat vacated due to death of Mulayam Singh. After this, the controversy escalated as Jayant Chaudhary and other leaders expressed their Oppn and a day later Speaker declared the seat vacant.
