HAS NITISH KUMAR BROUGHT BIHAR BJP ON THE BACK FOOT?

New Delhi: There is going to be some upheaval in the politics of Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently expressed his desire to go to the Rajya Sabha and then turned against it. After that it is reported that they are leaving the official residence of Chief Minister and going to a bungalow at Seven, Circular Road. It is being said that renovation work is going on at CMR. Meanwhile, the discussion has also started that a BJP leader will be seated in BIhar CMR while Nitish Kumar will go to Delhi. Earlier there was talk of him becoming the Vice President, but BJP will hardly give him this post. There is talk of a veteran BJP leader and Union Minister becoming the Vice President and Nitish Kumar can join the top ministers of the Centre in his place. But this is also speculation.

On the other hand, the tone of BJP leaders has started changing. State President Sanjay Jaiswal, who had been targeting the Nitish Kumar government till now, has said that Nitish Kumar will remain our Chief Minister till the next assembly elections. The state government’s powerful minister Samrat Chaudhary, who kept finding faults in the functioning of his government, also said that there is no question on the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

Thus on one side there is discussion of Nitish moving to Delhi while on the other hand, BJP leaders are making statements considering him as a leader; which is actually a contradictory reality. But there is also the possibility of some change from the contradiction. Keep in mind that in the bypoll held on one seat recently, when BJP lost, Nitish Kumar had said that the public is the mightiest, which, according to political observers, may be a silent threat to those challenging Nitish’s authority
