HARYANA MINISTER BOOKED

New Delhi: Haryana sports Minister Sandeep Singh has been booked on charges of sexual harassment and outraging modesty of a woman after a junior athletics coach filed a complaint against the Olympian. A case under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-A, 354-B, 342 and 506 of the IPC has been registered against Sandeep Singh.

The woman, junior athletics coach, held a PC at office of Opposition INLD, which has demanded that Manohar Lal Khattar govt, Haryana HM Anil Vij to set up a Special Investigation Team to probe matter. She said Singh harassed her from February to November last year, by repeated messages on social media. He touched her inappropriately and also threatened her in messages, she alleged.
