GST theft of over Rs 10 cr exposed
Jaipur: Jaipur witnessed a significant crackdown by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) targeting lubricant oil traders and refinery operators. Raids were conducted on prominent firms, including Deepak Enterprises, Ruby Lubes, Mahaveer Chemicals Industries, Maheshwari Petrochemicals, and Om Industries.
Preliminary investigations revealed over Rs 10 crore in GST evasion. Authorities seized cash amounting to more than Rs 4 crore during the raids, while Rs 1.50 crore in GST dues was recovered on the spot.
This action underscores the government’s resolve to curb tax evasion in high-revenue sectors and ensure compliance. The ongoing investigations are likely to uncover further discrepancies, emphasizing the need for stricter financial regulations in industry.
