Govt to strengthen Lokayukta, says Min Jogaram Patel in Assembly

Jaipur: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said in the State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday that the Lokayukta is continuously resolving the cases with impartiality and transparency. He said that the State Government will make efforts to strengthen the Lokayukta institution.

The Parl Affairs Minister was responding after the discussion in the House on the 35th Annual Report of Lokayukta Rajasthan for the year 2023. He informed that the Lokayukta institution was established in the state in the year 1973 to prevent corruption in government institutions and public undertakings. “It investigates the received complaint and presents its conclusion to the Governor. Thereafter, the report is sent by the Governor to the CM and by the CM to the department. The dept decides to take action against concerned public servant after investigation at its level,” he said.
