Jaipur: In a big development for the wildlife in the State, the National Tiger Reserve Authority has given in-principle approval for the Dholpur Tiger Reserve. The NTCA technical committee has given the in-principle approval. Earlier, Kumbhalgarh has also been given inprinciple approval by the NTCA. In such a situation, Dholpur Tiger Reserve will be the sixth Tiger Reserve of the state.
Although the proposal of Kumbhalgarh has been pending at the level of the State Government for a long time. The NTCA also gave conditional approval regarding the Dholpur Tiger Reserve. The revised proposal has been sought from the State Forest Department. Now, Chief Wildlife Warden Arindam Tomar will soon send the revised proposal. This will be third Tiger Reserve of Tomar’s tenure.
