A huge consignment of banned explosives was seized from Mahabar village, in Barmer, on Wednesday. Two people were arrested in connection with the explosives, police said. A case under Arms Act has been registered in the matter.
The Sadar police, acting on a tip-off, raided Mahabar village and seized about 40 sacks of ammonium nitrate, weighing 50 kg each, from a truck. Police also arrested truck driver, Rajesh Bishnoi and Dheemaram Bishnoi, both residents of Jodhpur.
