FLYING HIGH: RAJ TO HAVE NEW AIRSTRIPS SOON

Jaipur: In a fresh initiative, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Vishvendra Singh has decided to develop new airstrips in the state on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

The decision came at a review meeting of Civil Aviation Department on Monday.

The airstrips will be linked to tourism and opened to chartered flights so that air connectivity to all tourist destinations increases and will give a push to the tourism sector also.

Civil Aviation Secretary JK Upadhyay and Director Sanwarmal Verma were also present in the meeting.

In another decision, the flying school, which has been closed for last 14 years, will be re-opened. Singh sought a detailed report on the road map to revive the institute.
