Flag hoisting marks start of 813th Urs
Ajmer: The informal start of the 813th Urs of Khwaja Garib Nawaz began with the flag-hoisting ceremony on Saturday. The family of Lal Mohammad Gauri from Bhilwara city performed the flag-hoisting at the historic Buland Darwaza at the shrine of Khwaja Sahib.
The formal commencement of the Urs will take place when the moon of Rajab is sighted. After the Asr prayer, the flag procession began from the Garib Nawaz Guest House. The procession, accompanied by several prominent qawwals and bands, passed through Langarkhana Gali and Nizam Gate before entering the main gate of the shrine.
