First India Filmy: Divya Khosla Kumar reveals shooting for Designer was a difficult task for her

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Divya Khosla Kumar is not only beautiful but extremely talented as well. She has tried her hand in everything, right from acting to producing, and directing, to now starring in a music video, Divya has done it all and emerged successfully. The actress has now come out with an interesting project which has taken the internet by storm. ‘Designer’ a collaboration between the musical buffs Guru Randhawa and Yo Yo Honey Singh, also stars Divya Khosla Kumar who takes the hotness quotient a notch up. Talking to First India Filmy, Divya disclosed her experience of working on the song with Guru Randhawa and Honey Singh and the possibility of Designer 2 and many more interesting topics.

Talking about why she took up Designer as her next project, Divya said, “When director, Mihir Gulati came to me with this song, I was excited. Before this, I had played cutesy roles and I am like that in reality as well. I am very Indian and my previous role in Satyamev Jayate 2 was very similar to that. So, when I was told that I’ll be playing a supermodel, I was thrilled to try on a new role. I knew I could carry it off and I tried my best to do it justice. Also, I have been modelling for a long time so ramp walk wasn’t a problem for me. The costumes were a bit too glamorous but I am glad that everyone is liking it.”

Divya agreed that the outfits she wore were a bit difficult to carry and she got injured a lot during the shoot. “The outfits totally pack you up. You cannot go to the washroom for hours. One of my outfits was complete metal which made it impossible for me to sit down for 7-8 hours. I usually keep my look simple but I experimented this time and the end result came out good, so I am happy,” Divya revealed. She further added that she carried a soframycin with her to avoid any bruising and as it is not the first time that the actress was facing injuries while working, it did not hamper her experience.

About working with Guru and Honey who have cool rapper auras around them, Divya stated that she tried her best to look sexy and match their energy. She added, “People are appreciating my looks in the music video and said that I could carry it off very aesthetically. Shooting sets are my happy place so I was very confident while shooting as a result, blending with them was not an issue. Once I decide to do something, I give my 100%.”

“I have worked with Honey previously where I directed him in Blue Hai Paani. So, acting with him this time was a very comforting experience. Guru is very playful and more active than Honey. Overall it was a fun shoot,” the actress said.
