Extended tenure of IAS Amrit ends

Lucknow: A 1995 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre Amrit Abhijat is set to return to UP from his Central deputation.

Till now he was posted as Joint Secretary in the Central Government in Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation department, Delhi.

If sources in bureaucracy were to be believed, IAS Amrit Abhijat has been relieved from Central deputation but has yet not given his joining in the UP Appointment department as he had gone on a month long leave before being relieved from Delhi.

IAS Amrit Abhijat was not wanting to return to UP in view of the assembly elections, but some powerful officers present in the Uttar Pradesh bureaucracy want to bring him to UP as they want to entrust him with a major responsibility owing to him being very honest and sharp officer.

Now it is to be seen that in the last month of July, after joining the Appointment department, which post the government would give to Amrit Abhijat. The government is preparing to give this Principal Secretary rank officer a good posting.
