‘Expecting voting percentage to go up in upcoming phases’

The voting percentage in the first two phases crossed the figure of 60 but the voting percentage was less as compared to the last elections.

More than 62% voting took place in the first phase and 64.43% in the second phase.

The turnout has definitely been a little less than last time. In some districts, the enthusiasm of the voters was definitely low, but in many places the polling figures have been encouraging.

Micro observers keep a close watch. Photography of this entire process of voting is done. Agents of the parties concerned are also given an opportunity to be present.

The ideal condition of democracy demands that the voting percentage should be more than 70 but this is not possible, how will this average increase.

Efforts are being made at every level to increase the voting turnout.

However, there are many socio-economic reasons that people shy away from voting.

Anyway, no one can be forced to vote; our job is to provide better facilities, better environment so that there is no inconvenience in voting.
