New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Thursday held a meeting with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, top economists and sectoral experts, to discuss Union Budget 2024. The meeting focussed on job generation, Viksit Bharat, and capital expenditure. Sources told that the focus of the government will be on job generation.
During the meeting, the discussion took place on topics like Viksit Bharat, capital expenditure and job generation. Economists present were Surjit Bhalla, AK Bhattacharya, Prof Ashok Gulati, Gaurabh Ballabh, Amita Batra, Mahendra Dev and KV Kamath, among others. Sitha is scheduled to present Budget for 2024-25 in LS on July 23. This will be the first major economic document of Modi 3.0, which will lay road map for making India a developed nation by 2047.
