Dr Somya gets Supreme Relief

• Supreme Court stays suspension of Dr Somya and three councillors
• Suspended Mayor set to resume the post after getting legal opinion

Jaipur: Suspended Mayor of JMC Greater, Dr Somya on Tuesday got relief when the SC stayed her suspension.

The decision has now opened the way for Dr Somya to resume post of Mayor.

The Court also stayed suspension of three councilors who were suspended along with Dr Somya on June 6. After verdict, Dr Somya worshiped at Kaila Devi and Mehndipur Balaji.

The hearing was held before a division bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and MM Sundresh.

Former BJP state president and former cabinet minister Arun Chaturvedi said that the SC issued a stay considering the suspesion as wrong.
