DR KIRODI, RATHORE DEMAND ARREST OF ‘POLITICALLY INFLUENTIAL’ ACCUSED

Jaipur/Nagaur: BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Dr Kirodi Lal Meena on Saturday staged a sit-in here demanding Rs 50 lakh compensation and a government job to a dependent in the case of 35-year-old gang-rape victim of Nagaur who died at Jaipur’s SMS hospital on Feb 17.

He said that he will continue to protest till action is taken against the negligent police officers. He said that family members are holding a protest outside the mortuary at the SMS Hospital mortuary where the body has been kept.

Meena also questioned the role of a local Congress leader while accusing them of being involved in illegal activities. Kirodi Meena and Dy LoP Rajendra Rathore spoke to the hospital administration.

Rathore accused the Nagaur police of protecting a local Congress leader who was supporting the accused. Meanwhile, the protest against the incident continued outside the Didwana court.

During this, many leaders and other people of Meghwal community, Dalit organizations, and BJP participated in the dharna.

The members of a team constituted by BJP State President Satish Punia including Hariram Rinwah, Abhinesh Meharshi and Gordhan Verma also met the family members of the victim and inquired about the matter.
