Direct contact with defaulters will boost recovery dues: T Ravikanth

Jaipur: The Mining Department has issued directives to directly contact all defaulters under the Amnesty Scheme and encourage them to take advantage of the departmental dues and interest waiver program. This initiative aims to resolve outstanding recovery cases, aiding revenue collection for the state government while saving both time and money in the recovery process.

Principal Secretary, Mines, T Ravikanth held a meeting with department officials and stated that direct one-onone contact with defaulters would facilitate the recovery of older dues and establish a timeline for this process. He also noted that issues arising for leaseholders after the auction of mineral licenses can delay mining operations.

Ravikanth instructed officials to remain vigilant in the field, as this could lead to easier resolutions of various issues, including illegal mining.
