Dhanush’s father reacts to the reconciliation rumours of Aishwarya and Dhanush

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajnikanth shocked fans when they announced their separation earlier this year. But there was hope for their loved ones when news about them considering reconciling started doing the rounds. After four months of separation, the couple put their divorce on hold after their respective families convinced them to give their marriage a second chance. Now, breaking the silence on the news, Dhanush’s father and veteran filmmaker Kasthuri Raja talked to the media and gave some clarity on the situation.

While in a conversation with the YouTube channel of the Tamil weekly magazine, Ananda Vikatan, Kasthuri Raja did not give a direct answer on the issue but stated that all of them just want their children to “be happy”. The fans have taken it as a positive sign for the couple as Aishwarya’s father Rajnikanth and Kasthuri Raja had been trying to get the couple back together ever since they separated.

They apparently had a meeting at superstar Rajnikanth’s house where both families sat down together and discussed the issues that Aishwarya and Dhanush were facing in their marriage. The couple decided to honour the decision of their parents and work on their marital problems. Rumours state that it was Dhanush’s workaholic nature that drove them away. He always prioritized his work over the family and that did not settle well with Aishwarya.

They announced their amicable divorce in January 2022 through a post on Aishwarya Rajnikanth’s feed. “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting… Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this,” the statement said.
