DGP: There is no political interference in police dept

Jaipur: On Monday, Director General of Police ML Lather held a press conference, revealing the previous year’s data of crime and policing and informing about the priorities of Rajasthan police in the current year.

Stressing that the police force aptly managed law and order in the state, Lather said that the police will do a better job in maintaining law and order this year as well, further adding, “the police department, along with encouraging the policemen, has made special efforts for the problems of the policemen.

Steps taken at PHQ Steps were taken at the Police Headquarters level and 73 policemen were given special promotions.

Cash prizes and citations were given to 294 policemen who did remarkable work. Also, 14,661 police officers and employees were given DGP discs.

Not only this, Rs 5,16,00,000 was sanctioned from Rajasthan Police Benevolent Fund as scholarship for advance education to the children of policemen.”

Increasing crime in state Increasing crime in the state seems to be proving a major challenge for the Rajasthan Police, however, the khaki claims that that is because all the cases are being registered.

Meanwhile, for 2022, the State Police has fixed its priorities for the prevention of crimes and maintenance of law and order.

But it is not easy to fulfill these priorities for the police department, which is facing shortage of policemen and resources.
