Development Promotion & Control Regulations in cities
Jaipur: Under the leadership of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Department of Urban Development and Housing has issued a notification to implement Development Promotion and Control Regulations across all cities in state. New bye-laws streamline land use processes for residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, and other sectors, reducing time for land use changes and providing convenience to the public. They ensure transparency in land conversion and allotment for community and infra projects. The regulations set minimum technical standards and categorize permissible activities, with local bodies handling approvals. Cities are classified based on latest census, and regulations now apply to all cities, among those excluded earlier.
