Critics & viewers shower glowing reviews for Shriya Pilgaonkar's act in Guilty Minds

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Amazon Prime's authentic courtroom drama Guilty Minds has been winning appreciation, especially Shriya Pilgaonkar who has unanimously got glowing reviews from the critics and love from the audience for her portrayal of Advocate Kashaf Quaze. With her impactful performance, the actor has not only inspired the youth to pursue law but has also garnered compliments from established lawyers.

The series follows the drama that erupts between a family that is the paragon of virtue and the other, a leading law firm dealing with all shades of grey. The Mirzapur actor enlivens the series that develops as a game of truth and lies. Reeling from unaddressed trauma, her moments in court as Kashaf allow her a cathartic release.

On receiving appreciation for her portrayal in the series, Shriya says, “Young lawyers have written to me about the show. It felt great to get genuine validation from lawyers who watched Guilty Minds. They complimented us saying that they would hire the reel lawyers in the series. It's the best compliment one could get.”

She adds, “The reviews have been overwhelming and very warm and it makes me extremely happy after seeing the reaction from the critics and the audience. The first time I read the name ‘Kashaf’ on the audition sides of Guilty Minds, I was instantly drawn to her. I loved the name, it means manifestation. I was instantly curious about her. Creating the gentle and complex inner world of Kashaf with my director Shefali Bhushan has been such a beautiful and fulfilling experience. Perhaps the most complex person I’ve had the opportunity to be. There is so much I have taken back from this Guilty Minds journey. Her strength, courage, vulnerability, and grace.”

Shriya has back-to-back OTT successes across genres to her credit - Mirzapur, The Gone Game, Crackdown, Murder In Agonda, and Beecham House to name a few. Her upcoming projects include Broken News, Crackdown Season 2 and a few unannounced titles.
