CONGRESS CLUELESS ABOUT ITS OWN HOME AFFAIRS!

New Delhi: The Congress party had given a Rajya Sabha ticket to its former president Ripun Bora in Assam. It is a different matter that the party did not put much emphasis to ensure his victory. The Congress and ally AIUDF combined had 44 votes, while 43 votes were needed to win the seat. Despite this, Congress candidate Ripun Bora got only 35 votes and lost.

For this Bora is blaming the party, while in reality it was also the lack of management since he too could not unite the votes. He had been the state president and the party had given him a Rajya Sabha ticket, so it was his responsibility to win the seat. But he lost the election and within a week of his defeat left the party accusing the party and went to Trinamool Congress.

Just think, while giving him ticket in midMarch, did the party high command have no idea that he is in touch with Trinamool leaders and he should not be given tickets? He was in touch with Sushmita Deb, who left the party. But Congress had no idea. Similarly, Congress did not get any idea about RPN Singh.

The party made him a star campaigner in the Uttar Pradesh elections and two days after the release of the list of star campaigners, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is the lack of the organisation general secretary of the Congress as well as the state committee and everyone in charge that they do not know anything about their own leaders. If the top leaders of the party just keep their eyes and ears open, then they will know in time which of their leaders are soon going to ‘abandon ship’.
