Congress and Shiv Sena will fight separately in Maharashtra!

New Delhi: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and talked about contesting the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Goa together.

But an interesting point is that both the parties are preparing to fight separately in the municipal elections to be held in Maharashtra early next year.

Municipal elections are to be held in the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Pune and some other major cities early next year. Both the parties can fight alone in these elections.

Although Rahul Gandhi will travel to Mumbai in the next few days, where he will have talks with Uddhav Thackeray and a final decision will be taken about this matter, but it is being said that both will fight separately. According to informed sources, Shiv Sena and NCP will fight together in the BMC elections and Congress will fight alone.

The reason for this is being told that Shiv Sena wants to keep its fanatical Hindu voters to its side and also wants to keep Maratha voters involved.

It is believed that by being with the Congress, hardcore Hindu voters can turn to the BJP. Sharad Pawar’s NCP also describes itself as a secular party but Hindu and Marathi voters do not have the same sentiment towards it as there is towards the Congress.

Shiv Sena and NCP leaders are of the view that Muslim and migrant voters can support the Shiv Sena-NCP alliance to defeat the BJP despite the Congress split.

Just imagine, what an interesting scene it will be that in Maharashtra where Congress is in government with Shiv Sena, it will fight separately but contest together in Uttar Pradesh!
