Coal crisis deepens in State as only 2-3 days’ stock left

Bikaner: Coal crises are knocking on doors in state with a stock of only 2 -3 days left. About 70,000 tonnes of coal stock is available while about 35,000 tonnes of coal is used daily.

Russia-Ukraine war has further thrust coal prices. Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati said that I have demanded from the centre, as well as I am in contact with the Chhattisgarh CM.

The state government is determined to not let the consumers face any power crisis in the scorching heat.

We will buy & supply but central government should also cooperate in dealing with crisis, Bhati added. Earlier Additional CS Energy Subodh Agarwal said delay in sanction by Chhattisgarh govt has caused crisis.
