Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hold the next cabinet meeting at Kashi Dham on December 16, three days after the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Project (KVCP) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, although an official confirmation in this regard is yet to be made.
This would be the second time that the UP CM, in a break from tradition, will hold a cabinet meeting to be attended by both deputy chief ministers Kesha Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma and council of ministers outside the state capital. He first defied the convention by holding a meeting during the Kumbh at Prayagraj on January 29, 2019. The move is the latest among a series of measures by the Chief Minister to hype up the KVCP inauguration.
The ruling BJP plans to put up a big show of strength in Varanasi on December 13 and 14, with the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of all BJPruled states in attendance for both days.
The CMs and Deputy CMs of BJP-ruled states have been invited for the inauguration function of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham by the Prime Minister on December 13 in Varanasi.
These leaders will also accompany the PM when he takes a tour of the Ganges and does Ganga Aarti in the evening.
