Class 11 student accused of fraud of Rs 42 lakh; scaming over 200 people, arrested
Ajmer: An 11th standard student from Nasirabad has been arrested for defrauding people of Rs. 42 lakh in a fake investment scheme. The accused, 11th-grade student Kasif Mirza, lured victims with promises of high profits from bogus investments.
Since November 2023, he has cheated over 200 people, mostly women, from Nasirabad, by convincing them to invest large sums. Two female victims filed a complaint, revealing that they lost Rs 42 lakh to the scam.
The cyber police launched an investigation, forming a special team to look into the case. Mirza has been remanded for 2 days, and is being questioned about his accomplices.
