CID clearance mandatory for arms licence in 7 more districts

Jaipur: Given increasing espionage, smuggling, communal, terrorist, and suspicious activities in state, CID wing of state police had sent a proposal to state government for imposing the condition of seeking clearance from CID for issuing arms licences in 7 more districts.

State government has given a nod for the same and Home Department has issued orders to all DMs, Jaipur & Police Commissioners in Jodhpur for compliance.

Condition is being followed in 11 districts. On behalf of DG Intelligence Umesh Mishra, proposal for imposing this condition in Banswara, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand & Sawai Madhopur districts has been sent to the government.
