CBSE to implement NEP in dist from new academic session

Kanpur: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started taking initiatives to implement the new education policy (NEP) across the district.

CBSE has developed four models under Multi Foundation Course, covering Food Processing Techniques and Personal Health & Hygiene, Energy & Environment, Horticulture and Nursery and Agriculture Techniques and the board has also started providing training to teachers.

It has decided to teach the multi skill foundation course up to Class 10. The teachers trained will be able to teach the students about horticulture, nursery and agricultural techniques and make them proficient in the specifics of agriculture sector.

The multi foundation course will be taught in CBSE affiliated schools across the district once the new academic session starts.

Balwinder Singh, District Coordinator of CBSE has informed the principals in all the CBSE schools to ensure that the guidelines issued by the board are strictly followed. Balwinder Singh said that once the examinations are over, new subjects included in the Multi Foundation Course will be taught to the students from the beginning of the new academic session.
