Cameras to be installed on highways after Kanpur-Sachendi accident
Uttar Pradesh: After the Kanpur-Sachendi accident, the police commissioner has decided to install cameras on the highway along with the response team, vehicles coming from the wrong direction will bear a “Chalan” online.
Surprise checking of buses will also be done with the help of RTO, traffic and outer police. Till now there was no such system on the highway across the country. In the meeting, NHI Project Director Pankaj Singh informed that many people park their vehicles wrongly on the side of the highway, on which the Commissioner of Police, Asim Arun said that the traffic police will do non-contract challan.
At the same time, if there is an online challan, any person will be able to get help by sending digital photos of the challan directly to the Additional Traffic SP on the official number-9454401077.
While Police Commissioner Asim Arun held a meeting with the officers of RTO, NHI, Sales Tax, Traffic Department and discussed to prevent such accidents, DCP Traffic BBGTS Murthy himself took action against the vehicles.
