BRO preparing path for devp in Arunachal for military mobility

Aalo (Arunachal Pradesh): The Border Roads Organization (BRO) is working on several key infrastructure projects along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh to improve both military mobility and civilian connectivity.

These projects, including the Trans-Arunachal, Frontier Arunachal, and Brahmank initiatives, are designed to strengthen the region’s strategic importance while connecting remote areas of the state.

The Trans-Arunachal project aims to connect 16 districts across the state with a 2047-kilometer road network. It is expected to significantly enhance connectivity, linking the easternmost parts of Arunachal Pradesh with the rest of the country. This will also aid in easier deployment of military forces along the border. The Frontier Arunachal project runs along the McMahon Line, the Line of Control between India and China. This project, which spans 1637.15 kilometers, connects 12 districts and is considered crucial for national security. With an estimated cost of Rs 40,000 crore, it is set to be completed by 2027.
