EXCLUSIVE! Mahesh Babu Opens Up About Doing Films In Hindi: BOLLYWOOD CAN NOT AFFORD ME
Hyderabad (Telangana): The trailer launch of the upcoming pan-India film ‘Major’ starring Adivi Sesh, Saiee Manjrekar, Shobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi and a vast stellar cast was a successful event with the attendance of the film’s producer Mahesh Babu among the cast. The launch that took place on May 9 in Hyderabad saw a swarm of fans and media that were dying to get a look at the mighty Mahesh Babu.
In an Exclusive Meet with the cast, Ashish Tiwari, managing editor, First India Group, as a cinema fanatic rather than a journalist asked Mahesh Babu, “You have been entertaining us with your films for the past 15-20 years and we relish watching them. But, in the current scenario, you are a PAN-India superstar, but you still prefer to release your film in Telugu. How do you achieve internal peace while avoiding the greed aspect?”
Ashish also further complimented the handsome actor for his to-die-for looks, saying, “I am seeing you for many years and you have not changed at all. Rather you have become more handsome and I can see that, especially in person. How do you do that?
“That is because I am a very happy man, sir. I am extremely fortunate to have an amazing wife and children at home”, Mahesh Babu replied. In response to the former question, he stated, "It was very simple for me, sir. I don’t know if I am sounding arrogant. I did get a lot of offers in Hindi Cinema, but I don't think they can afford me. I can’t waste my time there because, the kind of respect I get here, the kind of stardom I have here I never imagined leaving this industry and going to another.” He stood as the representation of a fact that he stated while answering, that when you make films in the south, they grow in size. He added that he can see that prediction coming true.
Mahesh Babu’s controversial statement regarding his future in Hindi films may sound arrogant, but it comes from experience and dedication to his work. His determination on working in the same industry that has made him a superstar, without wavering towards greed or acknowledgement shows the respectable man that Mahesh Babu is.
