"BJP-led central government has made Parliament irrelevant": Congress' Rashid Alvi

New Delhi: Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Sunday criticized the BJP-led central government for making Parliament "irrelevant," alleging that the ruling party deliberately prevents its functioning to avoid discussions on key issues that could expose its shortcomings.
Speaking to ANI, Alvi claimed that it is the BJP's strategy that is making Parliament irrelevant.
"The BJP-led central government has made Parliament irrelevant. They do not want Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to function. If Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha function, real issues will be discussed and the reality of BJP will come out... The opposition and the country will have to understand that making Parliament irrelevant is the BJP's strategy. The country is moving towards dictatorship," the Congress leader said.
