BJP eyeing Raj Thackeray for a ‘bigger’ role?

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party is mulling over a major role for Raj Thackeray in the politics of Maharashtra where he will be used in Maharashtra the way Trinamool Congress is thinking of Shubhendu Adhikari in West Bengal or O Panneerselvam in Tamil Nadu. There is a proposal to include the rebel leaders of Shiv Sena in Raj Thackeray’s party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). With this Shiv Sena will be left with Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde faction will also get one party, one Thackeray. The second proposal is to eliminate Shiv Sena through Shinde and install Raj Thackeray in its place which will be extremely easy. If the matter of Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray reaches the Election Commission, the commission will confiscate the party’s name and symbol. After that most of Uddhav’s remaining leaders will also go with Shinde or BJP. At the same time Raj Thackeray will be established with the help of BJP. For this there is talk of making his son a minister in the state government. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is very active and was currently on a tour of Konkan. He is being considered as the ‘kaat’ of Aaditya Thackeray. He is not even MLA or MLC right now. Still, if he becomes a minister, it will be easy for Raj Thackeray to unite his supporters.
