Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover welcome a girl; name her “Devi”

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have finally announced the arrival of their baby girl with the cutest post! The couple had made their pregnancy public with a photoshoot earlier this year. Karan had even shared his thoughts on becoming a father and said that every cell in his body exploded with joy and love when he received the news of the pregnancy. Calling it a creation manifested by their love, Karan could not be more excited to welcome the baby.

Taking to her Instagram, Bipasha announced that they had a baby girl and declared her name as “Devi Basu Singh Grover”. She further wrote, “The physical manifestation of our love and blessings of Ma is here and she is Divine”. The post accompanied a very adorable picture of their daughter’s feet. She simply captioned the photo, “Blessed 🙏🔱🧿.”

Wishes poured in for the couple from several of their friends and well-wishers. Dia Mirza wrote, “Welcome to this world little one 🐯🐯🐯 Love love and more love always! Can’t wait to meet you. All our blessings ❤️❤️❤️”. Sophie Chaudhary too poured in her congratulatory messages as she wrote, “Best best best news ever!! So thrilled for you guys!!!!! God bless your lil angel 💕💕💕😘😘🧿”.

Bipasha in a previous interview had revealed that she and Karan wanted a baby girl. “From the time we have wanted a child, we have hoped for a baby girl. I know a baby is a beautiful gift, and we are supposed to be in acceptance of any gender, and the bigger picture is that, but we call our baby ‘she’. We believe it’s a she, and we have believed that since the time we decided to have a baby,” she said.

Bipasha had a very cosy and traditional baby shower at her residence. She performed several rituals with her mother while dressed in a beautiful blue saree. She along with her husband, Karan Singh Grover threw a bigger bash for their friends from the industry and several other family members.
