Bikaner, Jsl to have new solar parks
Jaipur: Rajasthan has got another big success in the solar energy sector. Additional Chief Secretary Mines, Petroleum and Energy Dr Subodh Agarwal informed that two new solar parks of 1800 MW capacity would be developed in Jaisalmer and Bikaner.
At present, the credit of developing the world’s largest solar park of 2245 MW capacity in Bhadla of Jodhpur district of Rajasthan also goes to Rajasthan.
Similarly, a solar park of 925 MW capacity is being developed by Renewable Energy Corporation at Nokh in Jaisalmer district.
“It is the result of the far-reaching thinking of CM Ashok Gehlot and the investment-oriented renewable energy policy of 2019 that new dimensions are being established in the solar energy sector in the state,” Agarwal said. 800 MW solar parks will be developed in Jaisalmer and 1000 MW capacity in Bikaner in the first phase.
