Ayurvedic doctors are White Blood Cells (protectors) of Indian culture, says Indologist Jeffrey Armstrong

New Delhi: Renowned Indologist, writer and Ayurvedic Astrologer received a warm welcome at All India Institute of Ayurveda on Monday. The institution also witnessed launch of a book named ‘The Bhagwad Gita Comes Alive’. The book, penned by Jeffrey is an effort to translate the messages given by Shri Krishna in an effective manner, without the use of ‘colonised English’.

Praising the facilities present at All India Institute of Ayurveda Jeffrey said institution is a priced possession of India and added that maintaining zero mortality rate even during the disastrous Covid wave was nothing less than a miracle.

During his lecture at the auditorium of the institution Jeffrey compared the Ayurvedic practitioners and doctors of the institute to White Blood Cells for safeguarding Indian culture and traditional medicines.

Welcoming Jeffrey in the institution, Professor (Dr) Tanuja Manoj Nesari said that she is happy that he is now a part of the extended family of All India Institute of Ayurveda.

Talking about the achievements of All India Institute of Ayurveda, Direcrtor of the institute, Professor (Dr) Tanuja Manoj Nesari said that the institution has served more than 15 lakh patients and is expanding its capabilities to serve them better.

Programme Director of Indian Council For Cultural Relations (ICCR) Shri RN Goswami and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Dean Ph.d Professor (Dr) Mahesh Vyas, Dean (PG) Professor (Dr) Anand More, HoD Kayachikitsa S. Jonah from All India Institute of Ayurveda were also present on the occasion.
